Redmi has written in the message that liquid UV screen guards can affect the performance of the device. This may also affect the warranty. According to the company, the liquid adhesive used in these can reach inside the smartphone device and damage other parts, including the physical key, charging port, speaker hole, and battery cover. Due to this the functions of the phone may get spoiled. It may start restarting unnecessarily, buttons may stop working, speaker problems may occur, and even the leather on the battery cover may peel off.
